New Jersey heavy metal force WHO ON EARTH have officially released their highly anticipated new album, It Takes The Village, available today on all streaming platforms. Packed with thunderous riffs, soaring melodies, razor-sharp lyricism, and an unapologetically old-school spirit, the 12-track record marks the band’s most ambitious and fully realized work to date.
Blending the power and precision of classic heavy metal with a modern hard rock edge, It Takes The Village captures WHO ON EARTH firing on all cylinders. From the relentless drive of singles “Vigilance,” “Any Other Way,” and “Shadows” to deeper cuts like “Monster!,” “Good Man Down,” and the triumphant closer “The Unbeaten,” the album showcases a band fully committed to substance, intensity, and authenticity.
Bassist Pete Rizzi gives insight on the concept behind the record’s title:
“‘It Takes the Village’ is centered around the forces that are impacting the everyday person. The combination of inflation, fake news, corporate greed, political BS, war, and more, is a powerful machine that is literally destroying us…it’s taking the village, weakening it to the ground. The alternative interpretation and a favorite of ours, is one of unification. It takes all of us, regardless of political affiliation, race, gender, creed, whatever, to band together, to unite, so that together we can resist these forces and stand our ground. It will take the entire village, i.e., all of us together, to turn the tide.”
Produced by Mike Orlando (Category 7, Adrenaline Mob), the album further solidifies WHO ON EARTH as one of modern heavy metal’s most promising independent acts — combining arena-sized hooks, twin guitar harmonies, crushing grooves, and socially conscious themes without sacrificing raw energy or musicianship.
The release arrives as WHO ON EARTH hit the road supporting FOZZY on a run of U.S. tour dates beginning this week.
